Combup (combup.com) is a service that lets you search the current products of fashion stores in Turkey in one place and find outfits with an AI assistant. This page explains what data we process and why, where we store it, and your rights under Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK). If this English version conflicts with the Turkish version, the Turkish version prevails.

What data we process
- Account: your email address, your name (if you give it) and an irreversible hash of your password. If you sign in with Google, instead of a password we receive your Google account's permanent ID, your email address and your name. We never receive your Google password or other information in your Google account.
- Chats: the messages you write to the assistant, its replies and the products shown; they are kept with your account until you delete them or your account. To calculate your daily question allowance, we count how many questions you asked that day.
- Size profile: height, weight, gender and size preferences are kept only in your browser; if you choose to save them to your account, they are stored with your account.
- Outfits from a photo: a clothing photo you upload to build an outfit is processed only at that moment, in the server's memory, to measure the garment area and its colours. The photo is not written to disk, not stored, not shared with third parties (including the Claude assistant) and not used to train AI or any other model. It is resized in your browser before upload, and photo metadata such as location (EXIF) is not sent. The tags you choose for the outfit (type, colour, gender, style, budget) are not stored either; the request only counts towards your daily question allowance.
- Search statistics: to show trends, a structured summary of searches (filters such as category and colour) and an irreversible hash of your browser's random ID. The chat message itself is not stored for this purpose.
- Premium subscription: if you upgrade to Premium, payment is taken through Paddle. Paddle sends us limited information so we can manage your subscription: your email address, Paddle customer and subscription IDs, your plan, subscription status, payment and renewal dates, the amount paid and currency, and your billing country. Card details such as the card number, expiry date and security code never reach Combup and are not stored by Combup.
- Technical logs: for security and abuse prevention (for example, rate limits), IP address and browser information are kept in temporary server logs.
Why we process it
To manage your account and session, show your chat history, find products that match your request, provide your Premium subscription, respond to payment and refund requests, keep the service secure, meet our legal obligations and show general usage trends. We do not sell your data or share it with third parties for advertising.
Service providers and international transfers
- Hosting: data is hosted in a data centre in Germany (Hetzner).
- Network and security: website traffic passes through Cloudflare.
- AI assistant: your messages to the assistant are processed by Anthropic's Claude model to generate replies.
- Sign in with Google: if you choose this option, authentication is performed by Google.
- Payments: Premium payments are taken by our Merchant of Record, Paddle. Paddle processes the personal data needed for payment, invoicing, tax and fraud prevention as an independent data controller under its own privacy policy. This data may be processed in the United Kingdom, the European Union and other countries.
By creating an account, chatting with the assistant or buying Premium with these services, you agree that your data is transferred to these providers abroad for these purposes.
Product information
Product names, prices, stock and images are collected regularly from stores' public pages. We do not collect sellers' personal data, product reviews or information about reviewers. Purchases always take place on the relevant store's website, under that store's terms.
Cookies
We only use necessary cookies: a secure cookie that recognises your session when you sign in, and a cookie that lasts a few minutes to verify the request during Google sign-in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. The Premium checkout is provided by Paddle and may use Paddle's own cookies.
Retention
Your account, chat and size profile data are kept until you delete them or your account. Payment and invoice records for your Premium subscription may be kept for the period required by tax and accounting law.
Your rights
Under Article 11 of KVKK, you have the right to access your data and to ask for it to be corrected or deleted. You can permanently delete your account and all your chats at any time with Hesabı sil (Delete account) in the account menu in the left panel. For other requests, write to [email protected].
